Dr. Cheyette has practiced as a licensed clinical psychologist in Georgia
since 1995, working with children, teens, and adults in both inpatient and
outpatient settings. In her work she strives to focus on helping people learn how to enrich both their relationships and their lives. Dr. Cheyette’s practice also includes a number of children, teens, and adults with autism spectrum disorders.
Dr. Cheyette received her Bachelor of Arts with Highest Honors from McGill University in Montreal, a Masters in Counseling and in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University in Boston, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from CSPP-San Diego.
Since 2008, Dr. Cheyette has been an RDI® Certified Consultant in autism spectrum disorders. She also serves as a training supervisor in the RDI® program.
In a three-year program with the Atlanta Psychoanalytic Society and the Emory University Psychoanalytic Institute, Dr. Cheyette completed advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, honing her skills in diagnosis and treatment of adults.
Dr. Cheyette has also received specialized training in working with police officers and their families and with victims of violent crime.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Cheyette is qualified to administer a number of psychological tests including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). Her office also offers testing for other psychological conditions.
